Primary Teacher (PYP) – Academic Year 2026/27

About the role

Bateen World Academy, part of Aldar Academies, is looking for an enthusiastic Primary Teacher (PYP) to join the school for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The role involves delivering the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme to students from FS1 to Year 6 in a vibrant, high‑achieving community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school’s Teaching and Learning Policy.
• Create a supportive learning climate and set clear objectives and targets for each class.
• Identify and differentiate instruction for SEN, EAL and gifted & talented learners.
• Utilise assessment data and performance indicators to inform planning and track progress.
• Incorporate ICT tools to enhance learning experiences.
• Maintain discipline according to the Behaviour for Learning Policy.
• Mark student work regularly, set progress targets, and record outcomes.
• Prepare and present reports to parents and participate in parent‑student events.
• Contribute to curriculum development and keep subject knowledge up‑to‑date through CPD.
• Lead or support an after‑school CAS activity each term.

Required profile

• Commitment to the school’s core values and an appreciation of regional cultural values.
• Experience teaching the IB Primary Years Programme or a comparable curriculum.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learner needs.
• Strong organisational skills and a collaborative mindset.

• Proficiency in using ICT for classroom instruction.
• Effective use of assessment for learning and data‑driven planning.
