Principal AI Product Engineer

About the role

We are partnering with a leading organisation in Abu Dhabi that builds and deploys advanced AI products at scale. As a Principal AI Product Engineer you will set the technical standard for designing, building and delivering production AI solutions across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end architecture and delivery of AI products, from backend services and APIs to user‑facing applications.
• Design scalable Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and Agentic AI workflows, including tool use, planning and human‑in‑the‑loop patterns.
• Define AI‑native engineering practices such as coding agents, reusable components, development frameworks and evaluation tooling.
• Build reliable production backend services using Python and modern API technologies, ensuring robustness to streaming, failures and latency.
• Establish evaluation practices for grounding, retrieval quality, regression detection and overall performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience at Staff/Principal level with a track record of shipping production AI systems used by real users.
• Deep expertise in RAG pipelines, Agentic AI orchestration and LLM‑powered applications.
• Strong understanding of LLM behaviour, failure modes and evaluation frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience with modern AI frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph and a full‑stack tech stack (React, APIs, PostgreSQL, Docker, CI/CD, cloud environments).
