Principal Electrical Engineer (Offshore)

About the role

KBR is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to act as the technical authority for ADNOC offshore projects. The role supports the lead electrical engineer, provides strategic guidance across all project phases, and requires rotational travel to offshore sites for surveys, brownfield assessments, and data collection.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review electrical design philosophies, technical specifications, design basis, standards and procedures.
• Prepare and validate load lists, load calculations, cable sizing, earthing and lighting calculations, and cable schedules.
• Lead engineering activities during Conceptual Studies, FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC, brownfield modifications, asset life‑extension projects and commissioning support.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure engineering excellence and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience (144 months) in offshore electrical engineering.
• Valid OPITO‑approved T‑BOSIET/BOSIET and H₂S certifications with at least six months validity.
• Ability to work on a rotational offshore schedule.
• Strong leadership and technical decision‑making skills.
