Principal Process Engineer

About the role

The Principal Process Engineer will lead the process discipline team on complex oil and gas projects, ensuring technical excellence, safety, and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and present technical proposals, estimate costs, and support business development.
• Plan man‑hour budgets, schedules, and staffing, and ensure coverage for absences.
• Provide technical direction, supervise engineering assignments, and ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards.
• Lead weekly discipline meetings, review progress, and manage deliverables to meet project milestones.
• Support procurement, construction, and commissioning activities with expert advice.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in offshore and onshore process design for oil and gas facilities.
• Strong knowledge of API standards (API‑520, API‑521, API‑14C, API‑14E) and ADEK sIP/sAP processes.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Excellent communication, report writing, and client relationship skills.

Required skills

• Process simulation tools: HYSYS, PROII, Flarenet.
• Pipeline modeling tools: OLGA, Pipesim, Pipeline Studio, Pipephase, Pipenet.
• Dynamic simulation (advantageous).
• Familiarity with feasibility, conceptual engineering, and field development studies.
