Principal Project Management Officer

About the role

The Principal Project Management Officer will lead the development and continuous improvement of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and related templates across the organization. This senior role ensures that all projects align with strategic objectives and institutional priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the creation and update of project and initiative management methodologies, governance frameworks, guidelines, and templates.
• Maintain a central project register and verify alignment with strategic goals.
• Review project plans for clear scope, deliverables, timelines, resources, performance indicators, and risks.
• Monitor project implementation, track progress, manage risks, handle change requests, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare periodic status reports and dashboards to support decision‑making.
• Coordinate follow‑up meetings with project managers, monitor decisions and actions.
• Provide guidance on best practices, lessons learned, and promote institutional maturity.
• Oversee project closure, ensuring deliverables, documentation, and results measurement are completed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
• 6–11 years of relevant project management experience.
