Principal Quality Operations Specialist

About the role

The Principal Quality Operations Specialist (Project Quality Manager) will lead the development and execution of quality strategies for CB&I projects, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, regulations, and contractual obligations across design, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Define, prepare, and maintain the Project Quality Plan and ensure adequate QA/QC resources for all project phases.
• Report project quality performance to Area Welding & QA/QC Manager and Area Quality Manager.
• Act as the focal point for quality issues, providing guidance to the project team and coordinating resolution.
• Develop and implement procedure programs, including new procedures, revisions, and compliance tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering to create QA/QC plan details and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Ensure welding documentation (WPS, PQR, WPQ) and material traceability are established and maintained.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules, NDE activities, and on‑site QC inspections.
• Deliver and document quality control training, manage NCR/CAR logs, and process non‑conformances.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of contract, subcontract, and local regulatory quality requirements.
• Ability to ensure HSE compliance and enforce quality standards across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in managing QA/QC resources and reporting performance metrics.
• Proven capability to develop and maintain quality documentation, training programs, and corrective actions.
