Printing Services Designer

About the role

The Printing Services Designer is responsible for turning customer artwork inputs into production‑ready designs for print jobs. Working closely with the Sales and Marketing teams, you will ensure that every design meets technical specifications and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive artwork inputs (CD, email, physical samples) from Sales and Marketing.
• Analyse requirements, create and modify artwork using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Box Pro and CorelDRAW.
• Maintain a Rotopacking folder for each customer, preserving original files and storing modified versions separately.
• Perform colour‑separation, trapping, colour correction and pattern analysis for print production.
• Produce printed proofs, verify accuracy and circulate JPEG/PDF versions for customer approval.
• Interact with Sales, Marketing and customers to address corrections, amendments or improvement requests.
• Scan customer samples, develop new designs when required and ensure design code specifications are followed.
• Coordinate plate making by transferring files to CTP machines, verify plate availability and manage die‑cut layout alignment.
• Maintain stock of embossing blocks and coordinate with purchasing for replenishment.
• Convert conventional jobs to CTP processes and obtain final customer approval.

Required profile

• Proven experience in print design and artwork preparation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret diverse customer inputs.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external clients.
• Organised file‑management habits and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
