Procurement Coordinator - Oil & Gas, EPC & Construction

About the role

Bilfinger, an international industrial services provider, is looking for a proactive, commercially focused Procurement Coordinator to support procurement of services and materials for the Oil & Gas, Construction, EPC and Industrial Services sectors in the UAE. The role reports to the Procurement Manager or Category Manager and covers sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation and cost optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Source and procure materials such as pipes, fittings, valves, flanges, structural steel, instrumentation and electrical equipment, and issue RFQs and evaluate quotations
• Negotiate prices, terms, payment conditions, lead times and contractual requirements with suppliers
• Create and manage Purchase Orders and Service Orders, and ensure timely delivery of materials and services
• Sourcing and managing accommodation, transportation, logistics, equipment rentals, manpower supply and subcontracting services, including hotel and labour camp selection and booking coordination
• Evaluate and qualify new suppliers, maintain approved vendor databases, resolve supplier issues and monitor compliance with contracts and service levels
• Conduct market research, price benchmarking and supplier analysis to identify cost savings and reduce total cost of ownership
• Work with Engineering, Operations, Projects, HR, Finance, Logistics and Warehouse teams, and provide procurement updates and reports to management

Required profile

• Minimum 4-5 years of procurement experience in the UAE
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field
• Experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, Construction, Industrial Services or Facilities Management, and proven experience in both service and technical material procurement
• Valid UAE driving licence (mandatory); willingness to travel across the UAE for supplier visits, accommodation inspections, vendor audits and site coordination
• Established supplier network in the UAE is an added advantage

Required skills

• Knowledge of procurement and purchasing procedures, strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management
• Technical knowledge of pipes, fittings, valves, instrumentation and electrical equipment, accommodation and facilities sourcing, transportation and logistics, and rental and leasing services
• ERP systems (SAP experience preferred) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently
