Procurement Engineer – Civil

About the role

Jazal Engineering & Contracting is looking for a Procurement Engineer – Civil to manage procurement activities for civil construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves sourcing suppliers, evaluating subcontractors, negotiating contracts and ensuring alignment with project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, source and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors for civil construction materials.
• Review BOQs, engineering drawings and specifications to prepare tender enquiries and RFQs.
• Prepare technical and commercial comparison reports and highlight scope gaps or cost implications.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and execution schedules with subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, databases and contract award documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3–5 years of construction procurement experience, preferably subcontractor procurement.
• Experience in UAE construction projects is preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of BOQs and civil engineering drawings.
• Understanding of technical specifications and tender documentation.
• Familiarity with procurement processes and commercial evaluation.
