Procurement Engineer - High-Rise Construction

About the role

IRTH Group is looking for a qualified, detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to join its construction team. The role supports construction projects by managing the sourcing, evaluation and procurement of materials, equipment and subcontractor packages, ensuring cost efficiency, technical compliance and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement of provisional sum and subcontractor packages for high-rise building projects (structure, finishing, façade, MEP, etc.)
• Prepare and maintain procurement comparison sheets for supplier quotations, covering price, technical compliance, delivery timelines and payment terms
• Prepare and issue RFQs, tender documents and BOQs to subcontractors
• Identify, pre-qualify and evaluate subcontractors on technical and commercial grounds
• Carry out technical and commercial bid evaluations and prepare comparison statements
• Negotiate with subcontractors to secure cost-effective and timely awards
• Coordinate with Project, Engineering, Planning and Commercial teams, and with Contracts/Commercial teams on LOIs, work orders and subcontracts
• Track procurement schedules against project timelines and monitor subcontractor performance
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and contract conditions, and maintain procurement records, reports and vendor databases

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 8 years of experience procuring subcontractor packages for high-rise buildings
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and subcontract scopes
• Experience handling multiple packages at once
• Good knowledge of contractual terms, BOQs and cost control
• Preferred: experience with reputed main contractors or developers, large-scale residential or mixed-use high-rise projects, and familiarity with the local subcontractor market and supply chain
