Procurement Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead end‑to‑end sourcing of electrical, mechanical, industrial and automation equipment. The role involves managing both domestic and international suppliers, handling import‑export operations and ensuring timely material availability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement of electrical, mechanical, industrial equipment and automation products.
• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable domestic and international suppliers.
• Handle import and export activities, including documentation, shipping coordination, customs clearance and logistics.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations, negotiate prices and finalize commercial terms.
• Prepare and manage RFQs, comparative statements, purchase orders and procurement reports.
• Coordinate with technical, production, project, stores, finance and quality departments.
• Review technical specifications, drawings and standards before purchasing.
• Monitor order status, delivery schedules, material quality and supplier performance.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers and logistics partners for international shipments.
• Optimize procurement costs, lead times, inventory levels and overall supply‑chain efficiency.

Required profile

• Graduate in Engineering, Commerce, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Minimum 6–7 years of procurement and import‑export experience.
• Strong technical understanding of electrical, mechanical, industrial and automation products.
• Experience in domestic and international sourcing, vendor development and commercial negotiations.
• Knowledge of Incoterms, import‑export documentation, customs clearance and freight forwarding.

Required skills

• B‑Tech (Electrical), Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics knowledge.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems and purchase management software.
• Understanding of Incoterms and international logistics.
• Ability to prepare and manage import‑export documentation.
