Senior Customs Valuation Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Customs Valuation Specialist to lead customs valuation activities for imported construction goods and equipment. The role works remotely and collaborates closely with Procurement, Logistics, Finance, Legal and external customs brokers to ensure accurate declarations and minimise compliance risks.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate customs valuation calculations for imported goods, equipment, machinery and construction materials.
• Analyse commercial invoices, purchase orders, freight, insurance and other valuation adjustments.
• Coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, customs brokers and internal departments to verify transaction values.
• Monitor changes in customs regulations, tariff classifications and valuation rules.
• Investigate customs valuation disputes, audits and requests for additional information.
• Prepare valuation reports, compliance records and support internal/external audits.
• Identify opportunities to improve valuation accuracy and reduce duties, penalties and delays.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Significant experience in customs valuation, import compliance or customs brokerage.
• Strong understanding of customs valuation principles, transaction value methods and related adjustments.
• Knowledge of UAE customs procedures and international valuation frameworks is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, numerical and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with customs management or ERP systems.
