Procurement Officer – Competitive Monthly Salary

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and detail‑oriented Procurement Officer to support our purchasing operations. The role involves managing day‑to‑day procurement activities, sourcing suppliers, and ensuring the timely, cost‑effective acquisition of goods and services while complying with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders in line with company policies.
• Source suppliers, obtain quotations, compare offers and prepare commercial evaluations.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and delivery timelines.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Monitor purchase orders, follow up on outstanding deliveries and maintain accurate procurement records.
• Support contract administration and maintain complete procurement documentation.
• Assist in supplier performance monitoring and vendor evaluations.
• Prepare procurement reports, status updates and spend analysis as required.
• Collaborate with Finance on invoices, payments and purchase order reconciliation.
• Utilise ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or equivalent) for procurement transactions and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field.
• 3–5 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in a medium to large‑scale organization.
• Good understanding of procurement processes, purchasing procedures and supplier management.
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS Level 3/4) are an advantage.
