Procurement Officer (UAE National Only)

About the role

Yokogawa is seeking a Procurement Officer to manage end‑to‑end procurement activities for project and product operational requirements, ensuring competitive sourcing, timely delivery and commercial compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Handle the full procurement cycle from purchase request, RFQ, technical/commercial evaluation, negotiation, PO placement and supplier follow‑up.
• Source and evaluate local and international suppliers, review technical specifications, drawings and scope of work with engineering and project teams.
• Negotiate price, payment terms, delivery, Incoterms, warranty and other commercial conditions.
• Support project teams to meet procurement schedules, budgets and delivery requirements, and manage PO amendments, expediting and commercial issues.
• Monitor supplier performance, support qualification and development, and identify cost‑saving or alternative sourcing opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical or related).
• 5–7 years of procurement experience, preferably in Oil & Gas, EPC, automation, engineering or manufacturing.
• Strong project procurement experience within UAE/GCC preferred.
• CIPS or similar professional qualification is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong technical understanding of engineering materials, equipment and specifications.
• Hands‑on knowledge of local E‑invoicing and ECAS regulations.
• Proficiency in Excel and analytical techniques for cost analysis and price benchmarking.
• Experience with RFQ preparation, commercial evaluation and contract/Incoterms management.
