Product Director - Private Investments AI

About the role

Inception42, a G42 company, is looking for a hands-on Product Director with deep FinTech expertise to lead Alpha, its investment and credit AI product. You will own strategy, roadmap and outcomes for institutional investors, lenders and financial analysts, translating emerging AI capabilities into investment research, due diligence, underwriting support and portfolio monitoring workflows. You will lead cross-functional teams spanning Design, Engineering, Science, domain experts and Growth, and mentor product managers.

Key responsibilities

• Define Alpha's vision, target markets, differentiation and roadmap, and engage analysts, portfolio managers and credit teams to understand workflows and adoption barriers
• Own requirements for opportunity screening, due diligence, valuation support and investment committee materials, including financial statement analysis, credit memos and portfolio monitoring
• Define AI behaviour and acceptance criteria, with Excel, Word and PowerPoint outputs, and prioritise integrations with filings, transcripts, market and credit data
• Partner with Science and Engineering on models, RAG, prompts, context, memory, tools and agent orchestration, and ensure outputs are traceable to sources
• Own evaluation frameworks, test sets, analyst reviews and release thresholds, and define safeguards for fabricated outputs and missing evidence
• Partner with Security, Legal, Risk and Compliance on confidentiality, non-public information and information barriers, and agree approved uses with customer governance teams
• Lead discovery, launch and iteration across Design, Engineering, Science, domain experts and Growth, and convert pilots into sustained adoption
• Own the business case and product performance, support pricing and packaging, and track adoption, conversion, retention and unit economics
• Align stakeholders, mentor product managers, support hiring and stay hands-on with experiments and production performance

Required profile

• 10+ years in product management or closely related roles, owning complex products at senior or principal level and launching and scaling financial technology
• Knowledge of institutional investment and credit workflows, with fluency across both
• Experience building products for analysts, investment teams, lenders or risk professionals, and delivering enterprise software with measurable adoption
• Experience taking AI-powered products such as agents, copilots or intelligent workflows from concept to production
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, computer science, engineering, business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Nice to have: investment banking, asset management, private equity, private credit or credit research experience; experience with financial data providers, document intelligence and enterprise integrations; Arabic language ability and bilingual product experience; CFA, FRM or similar qualification

Required skills

• Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation, leverage and credit risk
• Practical fluency in large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, context, memory, tool use and evaluations
• Hands-on use of AI tools to prototype workflows and test model behaviour
• Use of Excel, SQL or comparable tools to investigate data and measure outcomes
