Program Chair – Finance

About the role

The University seeks a senior academic leader to head its Finance program. The Program Chair will provide strategic direction, deliver high‑quality teaching, and advance research excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate Finance courses, including Corporate Finance, Investment Analysis, Financial Markets, and Risk Management.
• Supervise student projects, dissertations and research work.
• Conduct and publish high‑impact research in indexed journals, secure grants, and present at international conferences.
• Design, review and update curriculum to reflect industry trends and accreditation standards.
• Mentor junior faculty, participate in departmental planning and university committees.
• Provide academic advising, career guidance and support employability initiatives for students.
• Contribute to institutional service, accreditation processes and community outreach.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Finance or a closely related field, meeting UAE Ministry of Education requirements.
• 10–15 years of academic experience, including at least 5 years at a senior level (Associate Professor/Professor).
• Proven record of teaching excellence in higher education.
• Strong research portfolio with publications in peer‑reviewed journals and experience securing research funding.
