Financial Analyst – Budgeting & Reporting

About the role

The American University of Ras Al Khaimah is looking for a detail‑oriented Financial Analyst to join its Office of Finance. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and analysis, supporting data‑driven decision‑making across the university.

Key responsibilities

• Support accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis activities.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness and timely availability of financial information for management.
• Assist in the implementation and enhancement of ERP‑enabled finance processes, specifically Oracle and Banner.
• Contribute to process improvements, system controls, workflow enhancements and standardisation within the ERP environment.
• Develop, maintain and use financial dashboards, reports and analytical tools for performance monitoring.
• Monitor financial data, identify discrepancies or trends and coordinate timely resolution.
• Support budgetary controls, expenditure monitoring, forecasting and variance analysis against approved plans.
• Provide finance‑related support for system changes, testing, reporting requirements, data validation and user requirements.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Experience in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting within a higher‑education or similar environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with finance and IT teams to enhance ERP processes.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting financial insights to management.
