Project Controls Specialist

About the role

The Project Controls Specialist supports revenue projects by managing cost control and planning activities. Working with moderate guidance, the specialist analyses solutions, ensures accurate financial reporting, and contributes to risk assessment and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cost control or planning for revenue projects, handling monthly cost close, financial reporting, schedule management and performance tracking.
• Monitor project financials, including budgets, funding, purchase orders, intercompany transactions and actual expenditures.
• Maintain consistent cost coding aligned with corporate accounting standards.
• Perform ad‑hoc cost analyses and develop scenario‑based financial and schedule models.
• Participate in annual budgeting and long‑range planning, providing cost insights and historical data.
• Collaborate with project managers, procurement, vendors and finance to determine accruals, validate actuals and manage invoices.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, client requirements and industry standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related field.
• 2‑5 years experience in Project Controls, Planning, Cost Engineering or Financial Analysis within an EPC or project‑driven environment.
• Strong understanding of cost control principles, forecasting, scheduling, estimating, change management and variance analysis.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across engineering, procurement, finance and project management teams.
• Effective problem‑solving mindset with strong coordination and communication skills in English.
