Project Coordinator – Residential Solar Projects

About the role

The Project Coordinator will lead the technical planning, coordination and execution of residential solar PV projects from design finalisation through commissioning and hand‑over. You will act as the bridge between clients, internal engineering, procurement and on‑site teams to ensure projects meet engineering standards, timelines and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate residential solar projects from design to commissioning.
• Review technical drawings, layouts, single‑line diagrams (SLDs) and BOQs with engineering teams.
• Conduct site surveys to assess structural feasibility, electrical readiness, shading and installation constraints.
• Support system sizing, equipment selection and configuration validation.
• Schedule installations and monitor compliance with approved technical specifications.
• Oversee on‑site quality, safety practices and engineering standards.
• Manage troubleshooting, inverter configuration, grid synchronization and performance testing.
• Coordinate approvals, inspections and grid‑connection processes with authorities and utilities.
• Document as‑built drawings, commissioning reports and compliance records.
• Support O&M planning, performance checks and preventive maintenance scheduling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related field.
• 3‑5+ years of experience in solar PV project coordination, installation or technical operations (residential preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset with the ability to work cross‑functionally.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of solar PV systems and installation practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single‑line diagrams and BOQs.
• Experience with inverter setup, grid synchronization and performance testing.
• Understanding of grid‑tied residential solar standards and authority requirements.
• Conducting technical site surveys (structural feasibility, shading analysis).
• Proficiency with project tracking and documentation tools.
