Project Engineer – Fitout

About the role

Azizi is seeking a Project Engineer to lead fit‑out works on high‑rise and mixed‑use developments across the UAE. You will manage the full lifecycle from design hand‑over to project close‑out, ensuring quality, schedule, and safety standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site execution of interior finishes, joinery and MEP coordination for fit‑out scopes in high‑rise buildings.
• Review and interpret architectural and interior drawings, shop drawings and specifications for fit‑out packages.
• Coordinate with main contractors, subcontractors, consultants and client representatives on sequencing and interfaces.
• Monitor progress against the project schedule, flagging and resolving delays proactively.
• Ensure work follows approved method statements, ITPs and QA/QC standards, and enforce HSE compliance.
• Track material submittals, samples and approvals, and support cost control through variations, RFIs and site instructions.
• Conduct site inspections, snagging/de‑snagging and prepare hand‑over documentation.
• Prepare progress reports, meeting minutes and close‑out documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering or a related field.
• 4–8 years of experience in fit‑out projects within the UAE, preferably on high‑rise construction.
• Background with contracting firms (main contractor or specialized fit‑out contractor).
• Strong knowledge of UAE fit‑out standards and Dubai Municipality/Trakhees approval processes.
