Project Engineer – Oil & Gas Design and Delivery

About the role

KBR is seeking a Project Engineer to support safe, efficient and high‑quality delivery of Pre‑FEED, FEED, detailed design and EPCM projects in the oil and gas sector. The role coordinates multidisciplinary engineering activities and interfaces to meet scope, schedule, cost, quality and HSE requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities during Pre‑FEED, FEED and detailed design to ensure timely delivery of work packages.
• Maintain engineering schedules, deliverable registers, action trackers and project reports, and monitor progress against them.
• Support interfaces between project management, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, vendors and the customer.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, constructability and value‑engineering reviews.
• Assist with engineering change management, scope growth, risk mitigation and technical query resolution.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in oil and gas project delivery, including Pre‑FEED, FEED, detailed design and/or EPCM.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; professional registration (Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer) is desirable.
• Experience on upstream or downstream facilities, preferably with Middle‑East operators and ADNOC projects.

Required skills

• Understanding of Pre‑FEED, FEED, detailed design and EPCM processes.
• Knowledge of ASME, API, ISO, NFPA and IEC codes and standards.
• Familiarity with engineering digital tools such as SmartPlant, AVEVA, Hexagon, BIM/3D model review platforms.
• Project planning, scheduling, cost control and risk management principles.
