Project Engineer - Waste Water Treatment

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead wastewater treatment projects across the UAE. The role involves managing the full project lifecycle, from planning and design coordination to execution, close‑out and client hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, organize, control and evaluate construction projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to schedule, specifications and budget.
• Coordinate closely with the design/engineering team to develop final designs and obtain client approvals.
• Prepare technical data sheets, material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, RFPs and other construction‑related documents.
• Develop detailed project plans and monitor progress against established schedules and budgets.
• Ensure strict compliance with company ISO and OHSAS policies and procedures.
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule and costs, communicating variation orders to clients in a timely manner.
• Identify project risks, analyse them and implement effective response plans.
• Conduct project close‑out walk‑throughs with the client and verify completion of all close‑out documents and punch‑list items.

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of GCC experience in project management for water, wastewater or industrial effluent projects, with at least four years as a Project Manager.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment focused on water and wastewater treatment is preferred.
• UAE driving licence.
• Fluent English (mandatory); Arabic preferred; German a plus.
