Project Manager – IE‑IoT (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

Qualcomm Engineering’s IE‑IoT Business Unit is looking for a Project Manager to lead complex, cross‑functional programs that span industrial gateway platforms, robotics systems and autonomous drones. The role will coordinate engineering, product and ecosystem teams to take concepts through platform enablement to customer deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end execution of IE‑IoT projects, defining goals, priorities and deliverables with engineering leads, product management and business stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans covering scope, schedule, resource forecasts, milestones and risk management for both hardware and software components.
• Drive cross‑functional alignment across platform bring‑up, SDK/BSP delivery, system integration and ecosystem enablement.
• Define and track project health metrics, manage certification readiness (e.g., FCC, CE) and initiate corrective actions when needed.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks such as supply‑chain constraints, certification dependencies and integration challenges.
• Communicate status, risks and mitigation plans to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate decision‑making, issue resolution and escalation with data‑driven recommendations.
• Establish and improve project‑management processes, tools and best practices across the IE‑IoT portfolio.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of program or project‑management experience in embedded systems, IoT, telecommunications or semiconductor domains.
• Strong ability to manage multi‑disciplinary dependencies in a global matrixed environment.
• Preferred: Master’s degree, PMP or Agile certification.
