Project Manager – Oil & Gas Projects

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing all phases of project delivery, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the activities of assigned personnel on the project.
• Perform managerial functions and ensure overall delivery of the project.
• Coordinate and direct a safe, efficient, and technically sound program in line with contractual obligations and company standards.
• Select and assign qualified professional and craft employees to all project roles.
• Review and approve planning and implementation of weekly/monthly activities, including scheduling, reporting, and record‑keeping.
• Provide recommendations to client representatives as required.
• Maintain liaison with client and subcontractors, report issues, and assist in pricing or contract renewal strategies.
• Handle and resolve staff problems.
• Plan work methods guided by policies, contractual terms, and professional standards.
• Ensure project milestones, procurement schedules, and budgets are established and maintained.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Monitor budgets, value‑engineering proposals, and contractor claims.
• Assist the client with contractor evaluations, tendering, and change‑order management.
• Oversee handover processes, including snagging, documentation, training, and operational readiness.

Required profile

• B.Sc. degree in an engineering discipline (Master’s degree advantageous).
• Minimum 20 years of total experience, including at least 15 years in oil & gas and 10 years as a Project Manager.
• Excellent command of English; Arabic is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead large, complex projects and manage multidisciplinary teams.
