Public Area Manager – Hotel Housekeeping

About the role

Wynn Al Marjan Island is seeking a Public Area Manager to lead the Housekeeping Public Area team for its upcoming integrated resort. The role ensures that all public spaces meet the resort’s high standards of cleanliness, safety and guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate colleagues to deliver prompt, courteous service and maintain resort standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of public areas, tools and equipment.
• Manage deep‑cleaning schedules, special tasks and contractor performance.
• Monitor furnishings, facilities and equipment, reporting to the Director of Housekeeping.
• Prepare rosters, vacation schedules and assist with recruitment and training.
• Control departmental expenses, inventories and budget performance.
• Ensure compliance with health‑and‑safety policies and Forbes 5‑star standards.
• Lead daily briefings, coaching, counseling and performance management of staff.

Required profile

• Graduate in Hotel Management or equivalent diploma.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role within a 5‑star hotel or luxury resort.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication in English (verbal and written).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
