Public Health Faculty (Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor)

About the role

Dubai Medical University is recruiting a Public Health faculty member at Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor level in Dubai. The role combines teaching, research and supervision within public health, epidemiology, global health and research methodology.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in public health, epidemiology, global health and research methodology.
• Contribute to curriculum development and innovation, especially in global health, digital public health and disaster preparedness.
• Conduct high-quality research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
• Supervise student research projects and postgraduate theses.
• Take part in interdisciplinary initiatives on global health challenges, disaster response and national health preparedness.
• Contribute to academic service, program development and institutional initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• PhD in Public Health from a reputable university.
• Strong record of peer-reviewed publications.
• Experience teaching public health, epidemiology or research methodology in medical or health sciences programs.
• Preference for candidates with international research collaborations, experience in digital health systems or a record of securing research funding.

Required skills

• Expertise in one or more of: Global Public Health, Digital Public Health, Disaster Medicine and Emergency Preparedness, National Health Security and Preparedness, Public Health Informatics or data-driven population health.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Familiarity with accreditation standards and quality assurance processes in higher education.
