Purchasing Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Purchasing Officer with ADNOC experience to support the procurement of marine equipment, spare parts and services for ADNOC‑operated vessels. The role will manage supplier relationships, coordinate logistics and ensure timely delivery while maintaining full compliance with ADNOC and company procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Procure marine equipment, spare parts, consumables and services for ADNOC vessels in line with company and ADNOC procurement policies.
• Source, evaluate and approve suppliers against ADNOC‑approved vendor requirements and commercial competitiveness.
• Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, commercial terms and delivery schedules, and issue purchase orders.
• Process vessel requisitions, RFQs and purchase orders, and follow up approvals to guarantee timely delivery of critical items.
• Coordinate with Technical Superintendents, Vessel Managers, Operations, Logistics and Warehouse teams to meet vessel operational needs.
• Expedite urgent orders for offshore operations and monitor supplier performance to resolve issues.
• Arrange logistics, customs clearance and delivery for vessels operating in the UAE and offshore locations.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, audit trails and support invoice verification and payment processing.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of marine procurement processes, vessel operations and offshore logistics.
• Experience supporting ADNOC or offshore oil & gas vessel operations is highly desirable.
• Understanding of ADNOC procurement requirements and approved vendor management.
• Excellent negotiation, commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced offshore environment.
