Purchasing Supervisor

About the role

The Purchasing Supervisor supports the Purchasing Manager in overseeing procurement activities, vendor management, inventory controls and purchasing administration for Rosewood Abu Dhabi. The role ensures efficient sourcing, competitive pricing and compliance with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily procurement operations by sourcing, purchasing and coordinating delivery of goods and services across the hotel.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with approved suppliers while identifying alternative sources to maximize value and quality.
• Monitor inventory levels, stock movement and storage practices to ensure operational readiness and minimize waste.
• Collaborate with Receiving, Storeroom and Cost Control teams to maintain accurate inventory records and compliance standards.
• Prepare quotations, price comparisons, bid analyses and purchasing reports to support decision‑making.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies, HACCP requirements and operational standards.

Required profile

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory management or supply chain operations within hospitality or a similar industry.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, compliance and cost control.
• Confident in managing supplier relationships, negotiations and procurement administration.
• Fluent in English; additional language skills are an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with inventory systems and procurement software.
• Advanced Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel).
