About the role
The Commis 2 will support the Catch Kitchen team at a luxury hotel, ensuring smooth food production and high service standards for guests.
Key responsibilities
- Review daily production sheets with the chef de partie or sous chef and prepare food items according to standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation, manage stock rotation, labeling, and storage to minimise waste.
- Operate all kitchen equipment safely and report any deficiencies promptly.
- Follow opening and closing procedures, complete kitchen log book entries, and conduct line checks.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years experience in a fine‑dining restaurant within a luxury hotel.
- Ability to work confidently under pressure with a sense of urgency.
- Commitment to safety, hygiene and environmental policies.
Required skills
- Proficiency in standardised recipes and food preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of hotel and government food safety guidelines.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
