QA/QC Assistant - Production

About the role

The QA/QC Assistant supports the Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities within the production department, ensuring that all products meet the required standards and specifications before delivery to clients. The role works closely with the production team and the QA/QC Manager to maintain high-quality production processes.

Key responsibilities

• Quality assurance support: help develop and implement quality procedures, carry out regular inspections of production processes, and maintain quality documentation such as manuals, procedures and inspection reports.
• Quality control: perform routine checks on products at various stages of production, assist in testing materials and products, and document and report defects to the QA/QC Manager and production team.
• Inspection and testing: help prepare and run inspection and testing plans, use measurement tools and equipment, record and analyse test data and prepare detailed reports.
• Non-conformance management: help identify and document non-conforming products, support root cause analysis and corrective actions, and monitor their implementation.
• Continuous improvement: support improvement initiatives, take part in quality audits and help develop improvement plans.
• Documentation and reporting: keep quality records up to date, prepare quality reports, and help prepare documentation for external audits and client reviews.
• Collaboration: work with the production team, communicate quality issues and suggestions, and support training sessions on quality standards.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Quality Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Previous experience in a quality assurance or quality control role within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively with production and QA/QC teams and strong organisational skills for documentation and reporting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with quality inspection tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
