QA/QC Civil Engineer – Piling Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced QA/QC Civil Engineer specialized in piling and foundation works to join Al Jazeerah Drilling in Sharjah, UAE. The role involves developing and overseeing quality assurance procedures for all piling activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain QA/QC procedures, inspection plans and ITPs for piling and foundation works.
• Conduct on‑site inspections of bored, CFA, driven and tremie piling, and coordinate with consultants, clients and project teams.
• Monitor and document pile integrity tests, cross‑hole sonic logging, dynamic and static load tests, PDA testing and concrete quality control.
• Prepare and manage inspection requests, material submittals, checklists, NCRs and corrective actions.
• Review technical submittals, method statements, material approvals and ensure proper calibration of testing equipment.
• Maintain complete QA/QC records, quality dossiers and support project close‑out documentation.
• Assist the Project Manager and QA/QC Manager in resolving technical and quality issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in QA/QC for piling/foundation projects.
• Demonstrated experience with inspection, testing and documentation of piling works.
• Strong knowledge of project specifications, method statements, ITPs and relevant standards.

Required skills

• Piling inspection and testing (bored, CFA, driven, tremie).
• Pile Integrity Testing (PIT) and Cross‑Hole Sonic Logging (CSL).
• Dynamic, static and PDA load testing.
• Concrete quality control (slump test, cube test, batching records).
• Reinforcement cage fabrication and installation.
• Development and management of ITPs, QA/QC documentation and NCRs.
• Calibration and validation of testing equipment.
