QA/QC Engineer for Overhead Transmission Line Projects

About the role

We are seeking a qualified QA/QC Engineer to support high‑voltage transmission line projects across the Gulf region. The role involves implementing quality standards for 220 kV, 400 kV and 765 kV overhead transmission line works.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor QA/QC systems, procedures and project‑specific quality plans.
• Conduct inspections for foundations, tower erection, stringing and substation works.
• Review and approve material testing reports to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
• Coordinate QA/QC matters with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation such as ITPs, checklists, NCRs, method statements and quality reports.
• Lead internal audits and ensure accurate record‑keeping of all QA/QC activities.
• Identify, report and resolve non‑conformances in collaboration with project teams.
• Support construction teams in upholding quality and HSE standards on‑site.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
• 5 to 14 years of proven QA/QC experience on overhead transmission line projects (220 kV/400 kV/765 kV).
• Valid passport with at least 9 months validity for Gulf travel.
• Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.

Required skills

• QA/QC systems implementation and monitoring.
• ISO internal auditor knowledge (preferred).
• Inspection of foundations, tower erection, stringing and substation works.
• Preparation of ITPs, NCRs, method statements and quality reports.
• Material testing report review and compliance verification.
