QA/QC Inspector – Manufacturing & Field Operations

About the role

The QA/QC Inspector will perform quality assurance and control activities across manufacturing and field operations, ensuring that all products meet international standards, legal requirements and customer specifications. This position supports safe, efficient drilling operations by monitoring domestically manufactured and repaired items before they reach the end user.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑process and final inspections according to drawings, route cards and specification/OMS requirements.
• Maintain calibration and verification records for gauges, measuring and test equipment, following API and international standards.
• Verify work orders, inspection reports and certificates of conformity before product release.
• Receive and inspect raw materials, repair goods, outside‑processed material and bought‑out items, reporting non‑conformities to the QA/QC Supervisor.
• Authorize stoppage of any unsafe operation within workshop or site activities.

Required profile

• Higher secondary education or equivalent in Mechanical or a related engineering field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in QA/QC, preferably in oil‑field equipment, steel stock, manufacturing or machine‑shop environments.
• Experience with inspection, measuring and testing equipment (IMTE) and calibration per API standards.
• Ability to work in adverse weather, remote locations, hazardous and noisy conditions, and to lift up to 50 lb.

Required skills

• Inspection of oil‑field equipment and machine‑shop components.
• Calibration of measuring equipment according to API 7‑1, API 7‑2 and 5CT standards.
• Interpretation of mechanical engineering drawings and specifications.
• Use of measuring and monitoring tools, including gauge verification techniques.
