QAQC Officer – HVAC Systems

About the role

The QAQC Officer will lead quality assurance and control activities for HVAC projects, ensuring all work complies with approved specifications, standards and safety requirements. You will work closely with site teams, consultants and clients to deliver high‑quality installations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA/QC plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and method statements for HVAC systems.
• Conduct material inspections on delivery and verify compliance with submittals, specifications and manufacturer data.
• Perform site inspections of ducting, piping, insulation, equipment installation, hangers and supports.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals and technical documents from a QA/QC perspective.
• Monitor and witness installation, testing and commissioning of chillers, AHUs, FCUs and ventilation systems.
• Coordinate with site teams, consultants and clients for IRs/WIRs and obtain necessary approvals.
• Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation such as checklists, MIRs, WIRs/IRs, NCRs and test records.
• Identify non‑conformities, raise NCRs and ensure CAPA implementation and closure.
• Support internal, external and client audits and liaise with third‑party inspectors.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC for HVAC projects.
• Diploma, BE or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• ADNOC approval is mandatory.

Required skills

• QA/QC planning and ITP development for HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA and other international standards.
• Material and site inspection techniques.
• Welding inspection, WPS/PQR/WPQ documentation.
• NCR and CAPA processes.
• Testing & commissioning of chillers, AHUs, FCUs and ventilation equipment.
• HSE compliance and safe work practices.
