QC Manager – Manufacturing & Fabrication

About the role

We are seeking an experienced QC Manager to lead the quality function for an established engineering and manufacturing business serving the energy sector. The role oversees quality across multiple disciplines and drives continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001 and relevant industry standards.
• Oversee quality across fabrication, welding, piping, electrical, HVAC and coating disciplines.
• Manage inspection plans, welding procedures, NDT, material traceability and final acceptance.
• Lead audits, non‑conformance investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitor quality KPIs and drive improvements in operational performance.
• Lead and develop QC engineers and inspectors, collaborating with production, engineering and senior management.

Required profile

• Engineering degree with 15+ years of relevant experience, including at least 10 years in quality management.
• Strong background in heavy fabrication, industrial manufacturing or EPC environments.
• Extensive knowledge of welding, NDT/NDE, fabrication codes and material standards.
• Experience with ISO 9001, ASME, AWS, API and quality management systems.
• Proven leadership experience across multi‑disciplinary operations.
• Lead Auditor certifications in QMS, H&S and Environmental Management Systems.
