Quality Control Engineer

About the role

MENA-Water is hiring a full-time Quality Control Engineer in Sharjah. The role covers planning and directing quality control programmes, inspecting and auditing water treatment equipment and processes, and supporting welding and NDT qualification activities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and direct quality control programmes according to standards, and develop the inspection and test standards for all procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and technicians to identify and resolve quality issues quickly.
• Analyse products and non-conformance processes, review documents, and prepare monthly performance reports; discuss results and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate and carry out internal and external audits, including ISO and other quality management system reviews and certifications.
• Support welding and NDT qualification and testing activities, and manage work methods while monitoring quality assurance processes.
• Stay up to date with water treatment quality assurance trends, technologies and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial).
• Quality control certification preferred.
• Internal/Lead Auditor certification for ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 and 45001:2018.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team.
