Quality Control Inspector – GRE

About the role

SGS is seeking a seasoned Quality Control Inspector specialized in GRE inspections to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring that all materials, equipment, and construction activities meet the highest quality standards on offshore oil and gas projects.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and execute inspection jobs with professionalism.
• Carry out inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site.
• Issue quality records and report non‑conformances to the QC Supervisor.
• Verify conformity with the Quality Control Plan, manage documentation, and ensure correct implementation of the Inspection Test Plan.
• Validate special processes and workers’ qualifications.
• Inspect power transformers, switchboards, accumulator batteries, lighting systems, remote terminal units, instruments, cables and related components.
• Perform visual inspections, dimensional tests, and rating checks.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the oil and gas construction sector.
• CSWIP and AWS certifications.
• Familiarity with engineering standards and codes used in offshore QC surveillance.
• GRE/GRP inspection training certification.
• Proven experience in construction or vendor site inspection.
