Quality Manager - Retail

About the role

Careers International is recruiting a full-time Quality Manager in Dubai within the retail sector. The role implements product compliance and quality guidelines according to the corporate and brand framework, ensuring quality products are available across all retail territories of the concept.

Key responsibilities

• Play a major role in developing the QMS and GTM modules and implementing them across the business
• Work with the central sustainability team on the group sustainability framework and with concepts on its implementation
• Develop SLA guidelines for quality agencies and concepts, and monthly reporting procedures with high-level visibility for senior management
• Prepare test cases, checklists and test data to support regular data checks
• Coordinate quality objectives with third-party sourcing partners to maximise product reliability and minimise costs
• Complete compliance audits, submit CAPs, audit new or proposed suppliers and regularly visit supplier manufacturing units
• Plan, promote and organise training on product quality and reliability, and set up and control a roving QC system in manufacturing countries
• Standardise and establish a recognised AQL system in warehouses in retailing and manufacturing countries

Required profile

• B.Tech in Textile or Garment Technology
• Experience in a buying house, export house or retail organisation in the quality/compliance function
• 5 years in a quality control role in an export house or retail company

Required skills

• Knowledge of factory engineering, production control and quality control audit procedures
• Understanding of AQL systems and supplier audits
