Radiographer

About the role

NMC Oxford Medical Centre in Abu Dhabi is hiring a radiographer. The role provides patient care and performs general radiography procedures independently or under the supervision of senior radiographers, producing images of organs and body parts for diagnostic evaluation and contributing to treatment planning.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general radiography procedures in line with departmental policies, procedures and protocols, and special procedures as required
• Use X-ray, angiography and fluoroscopy competently; evaluate image quality and forward images to the radiologist for review and reporting
• Assist physicians in intervention procedures such as kidney stone removal and orthopaedic procedures
• Maintain accurate records in the Hospital Information System and PACS, and report shortages of materials to the supervisor
• Keep the work area clean, restock supplies, clean equipment and report incidents and faults promptly
• Advise medical and technical staff on techniques and imagery interventions, and answer patients' initial enquiries
• Take part in quality improvement, safety and infection control, clinical audits, staff education and induction of new employees
• Complete regulatory requirements, including licensure and certification, within set timeframes

Required profile

• BSc in Radiography, or a graduate from an accredited Diploma program (not less than 3-year syllabus)
• OR a diploma or certificate from an accredited Radiography Technician program (not less than 2-year syllabus)
• Current national license
