Radiography Technologist – MRI Specialist

About the role

Healthpoint is seeking a skilled Radiography Technologist specialized in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to join its Diagnostic Imaging team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality MRI examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to clinical protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders, departmental protocols, and quality standards.
• Screen patients for contraindications, implants, and safety risks before each scan.
• Select and adjust appropriate MRI protocols and imaging sequences based on clinical indications.
• Operate 1.5T and 3T MRI scanners safely, positioning patients accurately while maintaining dignity.
• Conduct contrast‑enhanced MRI studies following safety guidelines.
• Monitor patients throughout the exam, providing reassurance, especially for anxious or claustrophobic individuals.
• Collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to optimise imaging outcomes.
• Document procedures and results in PACS, RIS, and electronic medical record systems.
• Participate in shift rotations, on‑call duties, and maintain compliance with infection control, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in MRI (minimum 3 years of study).
• At least 3 years of post‑qualification experience operating MRI equipment.
• Valid DOH/DHA licence (or eligibility) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience with 1.5T and 3T scanners; exposure to neuro, musculoskeletal, body, cardiac, breast, or angiographic MRI is preferred.
