Range Services Technician

About the role

The Range Services Technician supports the set‑up, maintenance and operation of test range facilities at Abu Al Abyad Test Range. Working closely with engineers, clients and internal teams, the role ensures that testing activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in line with customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare test sites by installing equipment, barriers, targets and supporting infrastructure.
• Deploy, operate and maintain testing equipment and systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of range facilities and equipment.
• Coordinate with Operations, RCOs and SMEs to guarantee availability of client‑booked infrastructure.
• Provide technical support for temporary installations, targetry and ad‑hoc mechanical or electrical work.
• Deliver field services such as hygiene facilities, air‑conditioning, power and water.
• Operate a variety of vehicles and support equipment as required.
• Record operational data and observations accurately during tests.
• Maintain documentation for targets, facilities, equipment and support services.
• Manage inventory of tools, consumables and spare parts, supporting procurement when needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in technical, field services, testing, maintenance or operational support.
• Associate degree or technical qualification in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
• Strong technical aptitude with troubleshooting ability.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and risk‑assessment processes.
• Good communication, teamwork and attention to detail.
