About the role

The DoubleTree By Hilton Resort And Spa Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah is looking for a Receptionist. The role welcomes guests and delivers reception services from check-in through check-out, completing audits as required.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests on arrival, handle check-in, verify reservations, assign rooms, issue keys and give hotel information.
• Process check-outs by verifying charges, handling payments, issuing receipts and using the point-of-sale and property management systems.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, concerns and messages.
• Share knowledge of hotel facilities, room categories, rates, promotions and local attractions.
• Promote hotel services and use up-selling techniques to maximise room occupancy.
• Handle cash, foreign currency, credit card and other payments in line with hotel policy.
• Keep the Front Office Manager and Supervisors informed of important guest feedback, operational issues and interdepartmental matters.
• Follow brand standards, hotel policies, security procedures, fire regulations and health and safety requirements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer-focused or hospitality environment is advantageous.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a positive attitude focused on customer service.
• Excellent grooming and professional presentation.
• Previous cash-handling experience is an advantage.

Required skills

• Competence with computers and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with hotel property management (PMS) and point-of-sale (POS) systems is an advantage.
