Recreation Supervisor

About the role

As a Recreation Supervisor at the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, you will lead the daily recreation operations, ensuring guests enjoy safe and memorable leisure experiences. You will supervise, train and motivate a team of attendants, lifeguards and fitness instructors while upholding the hotel’s brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and train recreation staff, including lifeguards, attendants and fitness instructors, ensuring excellent service and safety compliance.
• Control workflow, assign shifts, and monitor adherence to company policies and brand standards.
• Investigate guest complaints, attend to injured guests, and execute service recovery actions.
• Handle hospitality requests and VIP services, coordinating with Food & Beverage and pool management.
• Enforce safety regulations, conduct regular area inspections, and report maintenance defects.
• Monitor expenses, guest participation, and manage inventory of recreational equipment and supplies.
• Collaborate with other hotel departments to organize special events, themed parties and corporate team‑building activities.
• Maintain accurate records of program registrations, fees, memberships and team attendance.
