Refrigeration Engineer

About the role

Careers International is recruiting a Refrigeration Engineer in Sharjah to support Plant Management on all research and development lab activities related to the refrigeration system of the assigned factory. The engineer also handles the lab, its reports, documentation and correspondence.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out all planned lab tests according to defined standards.
• Maintain the lab library, including testing procedures, standards, test reports, calibration records and correspondence.
• Prepare test reports in the Everest format or the customer's supplied format and get them approved by the relevant authorities.
• Follow up the delivery of samples to the lab so they can be identified and traced after testing, and obtain approvals for their disposal.
• Follow up the receipt of lab equipment and test packages approved for procurement.
• Follow up the calibration of lab equipment and ensure updated calibration records and certificates are available.
• Assist in planning and scheduling approval of Everest products by third parties, and inspect samples before delivery to ensure compliance with standards.
• Handle all correspondence for the Research and Development department and ensure quality, safety and environmental standards are in place.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a major in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.

Required skills

• Well versed in MS Office, with excellent proficiency in MS Excel.
