About the role

Air Arabia is looking for a Technical Services Engineer for its aircraft systems team in Sharjah. The engineer develops, manages and monitors the systems of the airline's aircraft and those of third parties, covering short- and long-term maintenance needs and modifications that improve reliability, airworthiness, dispatch and fleet readiness while complying with Airworthiness Directives.

Key responsibilities

  • Support engineering maintenance (Line, Hangar, MCC and other CAMO departments) through performance reviews, request analysis, management reporting, corrective measures and modifications.
  • Act as liaison between the airline and OEMs and regulatory bodies on modifications, corrective measures and projects.
  • Use data from various sources for technical root-cause analysis and troubleshooting, and analyse technical performance reports to spot trends and suggest proactive modifications.
  • Identify corrective measures and modifications for airworthiness findings, recommend AMP inclusions and exclusions with justification, and review technical documents for modification and repair under CAMO management acceptance.
  • Partner with Projects, Warranty, Legal and Finance on new projects, feasibility studies, testing and engineering and maintenance contracts and SLAs.
  • Help develop procedures, specifications and Engineering Operational Standards (EOS) for CAMO, guide MROs on changes and mandatory modifications, and assist in closing occurrence reports and audit findings.
  • Take part in internal and external meetings, conferences and events.

Required profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Aircraft Engineering, Electro-Mechanical or Aeronautical engineering (LAE), or a higher diploma/certificate from a recognised institution with the needed experience.
  • 5+ years of collective experience in the aviation industry; OJT or trainee time at an airline counts towards experience.
  • Experience with Airbus A320 family aircraft is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of CAMO requirements, civil aviation authority rules, and EASA Part 145, Part 21 and Subpart M.
  • Fluent English, excellent written and verbal communication, and cost-oriented problem-solving skills.

Required skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MRO systems.
  • Project management, cost control, compliance, budgeting and quality assurance certificates are an added value.
