Registered Nurse – ICU

About the role

The Registered Nurse – ICU will deliver safe, compassionate, and individualized care to critically ill patients in a high‑acuity environment. Working closely with physicians and allied health professionals, the nurse will coordinate treatment plans, monitor patient status, and support families throughout the care journey.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, develop and monitor individualized care plans, and record vital signs with prompt escalation of abnormalities.
• Perform life‑support interventions including Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products and manage wound care, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Assist in invasive and non‑invasive procedures such as line insertions, CRRT, haemodialysis, lumbar puncture, drainage, tracheostomy, cardiac output monitoring, IABP and thermoregulation.
• Facilitate safe patient admission, transfer and discharge processes and act as a transport nurse when required.
• Maintain and update clinical skills, participate in Code Blue response, and ensure complete and accurate patient records.

Required profile

• Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse with the relevant UAE health authority.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider card.
• Ability to work across departments and communicate clearly in English (spoken and written).
• Desirable: experience working in an inter‑professional team, proficiency with electronic medical record systems, and ability to communicate in Arabic.
