Registered Nurse – Outpatient Department

About the role

The Registered Nurse will support daily operations of the Outpatient Clinics at Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Hospital, ensuring efficient patient flow, safe clinical practices, and high‑quality care. The role involves direct patient interaction, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and accurate documentation in the Cerner electronic medical record.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate efficient patient flow to ensure a seamless outpatient experience.
• Perform nursing assessments and clinical procedures within scope, including vital signs monitoring, venipuncture, specimen collection, and medication administration.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes promptly in Cerner.
• Support physicians and allied health professionals during consultations, examinations, and outpatient procedures.
• Ensure compliance with M42 policies, infection prevention and control standards, patient safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Provide patient and family education on treatment plans, medications, procedures, and follow‑up care.
• Collaborate with Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, and Revenue Cycle Management to deliver coordinated care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, incident reporting, and management of clinical supplies and equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Valid medical license or eligibility from the Department of Health (DOH).
• 3–5 years of experience in an outpatient setting.
• Proven leadership and team‑lead experience.
• Strong critical‑thinking and decision‑making abilities.
