Remote Infrastructure Engineer – Cloud & Automation

About the role

We are looking for a Remote Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud and on‑premises environments for a global technology client. The position is contract‑based, offering flexibility to work from anywhere while ensuring high availability, security, and performance of critical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and manage scalable infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents, and implement automation to reduce manual effort.
• Enforce security best practices, including IAM policies, network segmentation, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize cost, performance, and scalability.
• Design disaster‑recovery and backup strategies to ensure business continuity.

Required profile

• Proven experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong scripting abilities in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Hands‑on knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
• Understanding of networking concepts like VPC, subnets, load balancers, and firewalls.
