Repair and Maintenance Technician II – Well Services

About the role

Weatherford is looking for a skilled Repair & Maintenance Technician – Well Services to join its Abu Dhabi workshop. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, inspecting and testing well‑services equipment, ensuring reliability and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain 5S standards in the workshop bay, tool crib and work cells, including daily housekeeping.
• Perform repair, maintenance, inspection and redress activities on well‑services equipment following OEM manuals, drawings and work instructions.
• Execute standard work sequences, monitor cycle times and use approved tooling.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct dimensional, thread and gauge inspections using calibrated measuring equipment.
• Assemble and disassemble components with calibrated torque tools, applying correct torque procedures.
• Select, install and handle seals, elastomers, lubricants, greases and thread compounds appropriately.
• Carry out pressure and functional testing, documenting results accurately.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives to reduce redress time, rework and repair costs.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months of hands‑on repair and maintenance experience in oilfield or well‑services environments.
• Ability to read and interpret OEM manuals, technical drawings and procedural documents.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
