Research Engineer / Technician – NLP Lab

About the role

The CAMeL Lab at NYU Abu Dhabi is hiring a Research Engineer or Technician to contribute to open‑source tools, resources, and publications in Arabic natural language processing, machine translation, and text analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software tools for NLP research projects.
• Collaborate with lab members on experiments, data collection, and analysis.
• Contribute to scholarly publications and conference papers.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field (MS for Engineer, BS with 3‑5 years experience for Technician).
• Experience in natural language processing or computational linguistics is preferred.
• Strong programming and software‑engineering background with machine‑learning experience.
